Faculty of the Department of Radiology provide care for patients in a wide range of settings including Borgess Medical Center, Bronson Methodist Hospital, and West Michigan Cancer Center. The department includes approximately 30 specialty-trained, board-certified radiologists who participate in the instruction of medical students and residents.

Medical student education in radiology is integrated in the Foundations of Medicine curriculum, both anatomy and also clinical correlations. Electives in radiology are available for medical students in the first two years (one week) as well as the fourth year (two and four weeks).
