Department of Emergency Medicine faculty provide care for patients with a broad spectrum of emergent and urgent conditions. The Department includes approximately sixty specialty-trained, board-certified emergency physicians who participate in our clinical, teaching and research programs.
Department of Emergency Medicine faculty provide world-class emergency, trauma and medical services in the Emergency Departments of Borgess Medical Center and Bronson Methodist Hospital. Combined, these ACS-verified Level 1 Trauma Centers treat approximately 160,000 emergency department patients each year. The emergency medicine faculty are supported by highly skilled emergency nurses, Physician Assistants, residents and students. Our Emergency Departments provide a diverse environment for learning clinical emergency medicine. Our alumni are spread throughout the nation practicing the specialty in every venue, from small practice groups to large academic centers.
