Our primary goal is education.
The five-year residency is ACGME approved for three residents per year and has been in continuous fully-approved status since 1966. The WMU Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program therefore fulfills the requirements for certification by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). Over 90 residents have graduated the program, with an outstanding rolling average of 100% board passing rate.
