American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine
When I first came to interview at WMed, I immediately felt like I was right at home. From the residents to the attendings, everyone was so welcoming and supportive, I knew this was where I wanted to complete my three years of pediatric training. The attendings love to teach, and they really care about the education and future of the residents. The class sizes are not too big, yet not too small. It creates a great sense of camaraderie among the residents. Everyone knows each other and when you are good friends with your whole program, work does not feel like work anymore. It really is like a tight-knit family. Other than the great aspects of the pediatric program, Kalamazoo is a great city to work in. From the numerous breweries to the scenic hiking trails, it is great to be a part of an up-and-coming city.
