When I first came to Kalamazoo I immediately fell in love with the city - a quiet and peaceful place - escaping the congestion of big cities, yet still having quality dining, shopping facilities and entertainment. It was amazing to discover that this beautiful city was home to one of the best pediatric residency programs in the country. When I attended my interview at WMed, I was impressed with the enthusiasm that the residents had about the program. They were happy about being in a program where the faculty and attendings are very eager to teach and always inspiring them to be the best pediatricians they could be. After joining the program, I found that not only was the latter true but much more; the faculty are cheerful, always available even at the daily morning reports and Friday lectures. The residents are closely knit – a family that harmoniously works together, inspires each other in active learning yet also has fun times together outside the hospital. I am so happy to be a part of such a wonderful program.
