Ann Harris, MLIS, is a medical librarian with Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Nutrition and Food Science and a Master of Library and Information Science, both from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She currently serves in the position of Senior Informationist and Medical Librarian Team Leader at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine. She has over 15 years of experience working in academic and public libraries, has volunteered and interned in medical libraries, and has provided research and reference assistance to library users from numerous backgrounds, professions, and research interests. She previously served as a Reference Librarian for South University in Novi, Michigan, where she provided comprehensive research and APA assistance, and information literacy instruction to students in various academic disciplines and degree levels, including undergraduate and graduate nursing. As a librarian, Ms. Harris strives to ensure that the information and research needs of all library users are being met and supported.
